The PLJW 109 WC is one of the most durable wall range hoods on the market. It is built with a beautiful 430 brushed stainless steel or Outdoor Rated 304 stainless steel finish which keeps your vent hood in great condition for years. Even if you’re an avid cook, you won’t be left wanting more power from this hood. The 109 WC features a robust 1200 CFM dual blower to suck out all the smoke and contaminants from your kitchen. Not to mention that it clears out the pesky cooking odors as well.
The PLJW 109 WC includes sleek stainless steel push buttons that are easily accessible under the front of the hood. Adjust freely between the four blower speeds to find the amount of power that works for you. Also turn the LED lights on to make cooking more enjoyable and efficient. Clean the Stainless Steel Exterior: Regularly wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. This prevents grease, fingerprints, and environmental debris from accumulating and preserves the finish.
Maintain the Baffle Filters: Remove and clean the baffle filters monthly or more frequently if used heavily. Wash them in warm, soapy water or place them in the dishwasher if the manufacturer's guidelines permit. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstalling.
Check and Clean the Ventilation Ducts: Inspect the ducting system regularly for any blockages or buildup. Clear out any debris to maintain optimal airflow and efficiency.
Inspect the Fan and Motor: Periodically check the fan and motor for any dirt or grease buildup. Clean them carefully according to the manufacturer’s instructions to prevent strain on the motor and ensure smooth operation.
Examine Outdoor Vent Caps: If installed outdoors, inspect the vent cap for debris, leaves, or obstructions. Clean it regularly to maintain proper airflow and avoid blockages.
Replace Light Bulbs: Ensure the range hood’s lighting is functioning properly. Replace any burned-out bulbs with compatible replacements, and clean the light covers to maintain bright and clear illumination.
Protect from Weather: Since the hood is outdoor-rated, ensure it is sheltered from excessive moisture and extreme weather conditions. Use a cover when the hood is not in use for extended periods.
Inspect Mounting and Connections: Check the wall mounting and ducting connections periodically for looseness or wear. Tighten screws or brackets as needed to maintain stability and secure installation.
Schedule Deep Cleanings: Conduct a deep cleaning every few months to remove any grease or residue that may have accumulated in hard-to-reach areas. This helps ensure long-term efficiency.
Monitor Noise Levels: If the hood becomes unusually noisy, check for loose components or obstructions in the fan or duct system and address the issue promptly
