The Ferno Titan-TI Tirol Kit (#0832287) includes four articulating and removable handles, two side rail/wheel axle arms, one Light Mule wheel, two shoulder harnesses, and one carry bag.
The Ferno Titan-TI Tirol Kit is an attachable transportation system for the Titan Titanium Split Stretcher to make it more mobile. When installed on the Titan Split Stretcher, it's designed for long haul retrieval and rescue in challenging terrain. The kit and stretcher can be backpacked as a set through inaccessible areas, and then quickly assembled when required.
The metal parts are constructed from anti-abrasion and anti-wear treatment for durability in rough rescue environments. The carry handles can be adjusted 12 different ways, depending on what best accommodates the rescue team and patient. When not in use for transport, the carry handles can become legs to provide an elevated, stationary position, and it can safely support up to 496 lb.
Q: Is it suitable for helicopter and rope rescues?
A: Yes! The kit is specifically designed for vertical and horizontal lifting in helicopter extractions, high-angle rescues, and confined-space operations.
Q: How does titanium construction benefit rescuers?
A: Titanium offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio, making the stretcher easier to carry while maintaining extreme durability for harsh rescue conditions.
Q: Does the kit include patient restraints?
A: It features integrated attachment points for securing patient restraints, though specific straps may be included or available separately.
Q: Is it compatible with standard backboards?
A: Yes! The Titan-TI Tirol Kit is designed to accommodate most standard backboards for spinal immobilization.
Q: Why choose the Ferno Titan-TI Tirol Kit?
A: Its lightweight yet rugged titanium construction, compatibility with hoisting systems, and specialized rescue features make it an ideal choice for search-and-rescue teams, fire departments, and mountain rescue operations.
