Made with T-316 marine-grade stainless steel for extreme corrosion resistance, Kore Outdoor Workstations are ideal for exposed environments like decks, patios, and BBQs. A built-in ledge with included cutting board/sink cover allows you to prep and clean over the sink. Durable TRU16 stainless steel construction with thick 16-gauge steel is highly resistant to dents and damage. Drop-in design with extra-thick beveled mounting deck installs as a top mount with any countertop material. NoiseDefend sound dampening reduces noise and vibration. Easy-to-clean wear-resistant finish and rounded corners on the sink bottom help reduce buildup over time. Channel grooves and sloped bottom help improve drainage.   The key difference to a Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel compared to a Stainless Steel of a 304 grade is the corrosion resistance against chlorides and acids. This is achieved by adding  2-3% molybdenum to the content of the alloy. 

Sodium chloride (NaCl), is what is known as commonly known as salt.  The salt in the ocean is also Sodium Chloride and often carries various trace minerals.

Long Story Short...316 Grade Stainless offers a much higher level of resistance against corrosion of a 304 Stainless in an outdoor and coastal environment from saltwater.
