The Tuttnauer TIVA8-MD High Thermal Disinfection Washer is designed for washing, disinfecting, and drying vital instruments, to prepare them for sterilization.
The TIVA8-MD High Thermal Disinfection Washer is available in two power configurations: 3-Phase 208 - 240 V without Neutral, 60 Hz or Single Phase 208 - 240 V without Neutral, 60 Hz (see Packages for inclusions). It features a double-layered tempered glass door, and is made from AISI 316L stainless steel. The upper rack is equipped with a monitored spray arm, and the chamber features a multi-color LED light source to indicate stages of each phase.
This Disinfection Washer utilizes cold and hot water with softeners, and demineralized water to effectively wash instruments. It's very user-friendly, with 40 washing programs to choose from on a single-touch color display. After each cleaning, the unit produces a graphic report for each washing phase with pertinent information such as time and temperature.
The integrated water softener and built-in steam condenser ensure an eco-friendly wash with each cycle. They reduce contamination and remove excess steam. In addition, there are two dosing pumps with flowmeters which dictate the amounts of acid and alkaline detergents for monitoring.

Daily Cleaning: Clean the interior and exterior of the disinfection washer daily to prevent buildup of debris, soil, or detergent residues. Use a soft cloth with mild detergent to wipe surfaces.
Check Water Supply: Regularly inspect the water supply and ensure it's clean and free from contaminants. Use filtered or distilled water to prevent mineral buildup in the system.
Clean the Spray Arms: Ensure the spray arms are free from clogs or debris. Remove and clean them periodically to ensure optimal performance during the disinfection cycle.
Inspect Door Seal: Regularly check the door gasket for cracks or signs of wear. A damaged seal can lead to leaks or poor cleaning performance. Replace it as needed.
Descale the System: If you are in an area with hard water, descale the system every few months using a recommended descaling solution to remove mineral deposits and prevent damage to the components.
Monitor Detergent Levels: Ensure that detergent and disinfectant levels are within the recommended range. Low levels can lead to inefficient cleaning and disinfection.
Check Filters: Clean or replace filters as recommended by the manufacturer to maintain proper water flow and prevent debris from clogging the system.
Run an Empty Cycle: Run a maintenance cycle without any items inside the washer every few weeks to help clean internal components and keep the system in good working order.
Perform Routine Inspections: Regularly inspect the system for any visible signs of damage or wear, particularly the heating elements, pumps, and control panel. Ensure all functions are operating as expected.
Annual Professional Maintenance: Schedule a professional service at least once a year to ensure all internal components are calibrated, cleaned, and functioning properly. This can prevent long-term issues and improve the lifespan of the unit.
